7 arrested after deputies find fentanyl, heroin and meth in Richmond apartment

WAYNE COUNTY, Ind. -- Seven people have been arrested after several law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at an apartment complex in Richmond Thursday morning.

Deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office responded around 8 a.m. to the 1800 block of South 13th Street, the listed address for Redwood Apartments, to execute a search warrant.

The search warrant led to the discovery of substances suspected of being fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine and crack cocaine, according to the WCSO. This resulted in seven people being arrested and preliminarily charged with multiple narcotics-related charges.

Chance Jordan Duarte, Angel Morgan and Richard Vincent were all preliminarily charged with dealing cocaine or narcotic drugs (level 2 felony), dealing methamphetamine (level 2 felony) and maintaining a common nuisance (level 6 felony).

Scott Trace and Michelle Lee Weimer were each preliminarily charged with maintaining a common nuisance, which is a level 6 felony.

Lastly, Carrie Jo Bivens and Evan Ray Brown were both preliminarily charged with visiting a common nuisance, which is a Class B misdemeanor.

WCSO confirmed that two of the arrested individuals were brought to Reid Health Hospital to undergo a medical evaluation for conditions "possibly related to drug use."

No individuals or members of the responding law enforcement agencies were injured.

Investigators with the Indiana State Police and Indiana State Police Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team.
