INDIANAPOLIS – A man went to the hospital after being shot during an apparent robbery on the east side early Tuesday morning.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched around 1:10 a.m. to 329 North Denny Street where they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
IMPD didn’t disclose the extent of the man’s injuries, although he was taken to an area hospital. Police said the man told them he was meeting a woman in an alley to “buy something” when a car pulled up and someone tried to rob him.
The man suffered injuries consistent with gunshot wounds, IMPD said. Detectives were working to get additional information from the victim and characterized the shooting as an isolated incident.
