FISHERS, Ind. — Police are on the hunt for a sweet-toothed thief accused of walking into a gas station storage room and stealing $1,000 worth of candy.
According to a post by the Fishers Police Department, the theft occurred on Aug. 6 at approximately 5:30 p.m. at a Circle K on Allisonville Road.
The suspect was caught on security camera walking toward the bathrooms in the back of the store before ducking into a storeroom. Inside the storeroom, the alleged thief reportedly filled up a duffle bag with sweet treats — an estimated $1,005.87 worth of candy.
According to Indiana Code, theft in excess of $750 can land a suspect with a felony charge.
Police are asking anyone who can identify the suspect pictured in the surveillance footage to contact Detective Robert Baker at the Fishers Police Department.
