INDIANAPOLIS — A man was critically injured in a crash on the west side of Indianapolis Saturday night.
According to an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department media notification, at around 9 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 8600 block of West Morris Street on a report of a person struck. When police arrived at the scene, they located an adult male with "significant injuries."
The man was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in "very critical condition," per IMPD.
After a preliminary investigation, police believe the man was walking along the side of the street when he was struck by a vehicle that was headed eastbound. Law enforcement reported that the driver of the striking vehicle remained on the scene.
IMPD's crash investigators have responded to the scene to look into the incident.
