More great weather before heat, humidity and storms return

Today will mark our 11th straight day with no measurable rainfall in downtown Indianapolis. Expect temperatures just slightly milder out-the-door, under clearing skies and pleasant conditions with only a few pockets of fog.

This afternoon, expect a nice blend of clouds and sunshine with light north winds at 5-10 mph. A very quiet day with a slight bump in temperatures, with a high at 82° for downtown. More clearing skies tonight with great weather for the Indians game at Victory Field.

Tomorrow brings additional sunshine and warmth...along with a jump in dew points, marking a more summertime feel statewide with highs returning to seasonal levels.

Scattered storms return on Thursday through Friday morning. Much needed, as we are now more than a 1/2" below average in rainfall for the month. Added shower chances will remain for Friday evening, spot chance on Saturday afternoon and more likely again for Sunday.
