INDIANAPOLIS — Indy police are now considering a man's death earlier this week on the city's near north side a homicide after finding he was shot to death.
IMPD said crews were called around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday to the 3400 block of N. Central Avenue for a death investigation. Upon arrival, officers found an "unresponsive adult male" who was "visibly apparent to have been deceased."
Homicide detectives later came to the scene to begin an investigation. IMPD said that, upon further investigation, it was later discovered that the man had been shot and died from gunshot wounds.
Now, the Marion County Coroner and Indy forensic services are working to gather evidence, identify the man and determine an exact cause of death. Victim information will be released at a later date, IMPD said.
