RICHMOND, Ind. — A Richmond pair was arrested for an armed robbery, according to the Richmond Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Wernle Rd. on Friday, Aug. 2, at approximately 12:05 p.m., on a report of an armed robbery.
Several hours later, around 2:29 p.m., two suspects were detained during a high-risk traffic stop at National Rd. E and Commerce Rd. The suspects were identified as 30-year-old Nelson Holsinger and 24-year-old Trentavia Lear.
The Richmond duo was charged with Armed Robbery, a Level 3 Felony. Holsinger was also charged with Resisting Law Enforcement, a Class C Misdemeanor.
"The swift actions of our officers and the collaborative efforts of our Detective Division, Patrol Division, and Drug Task Force led to the prompt arrest of these individuals," said Chief Kyle Weatherly of the Richmond Police Department.
Lear and Holsinger were booked in the Wayne County Jail. The case remains open for investigation.
