ANDERSON, Ind. – A 24-year-old Anderson man faces multiple charges related to sexual abuse involving a minor.
Police arrested Preston Ball on July 17, according to court documents. He’s charged with two counts of child molesting (a Level 3 felony and a Level 4 felony) and one count of sexual misconduct with a minor (a Level 5 felony).
The investigation began in December 2023. The accusations against Ball came to light after investigators talked to two girls who said they were molested by a different boy who then alleged that Ball abused him for years.
During an interview with police, Ball said the incidents happened a “very long time ago” when he was younger. He admitted to touching the other boy, according to court documents.
His accuser said Ball abused him during an eight-year span; the abuse including inappropriate touching and sex acts. The boy said Ball threatened him with physical harm if he ever told anyone.
Ball had an initial hearing on Monday. According to court records, he’s next due in court on Oct. 23.
