INDIANAPOLIS — A juvenile was injured in a hit-and-run crash on the east side of Indianapolis Saturday night.
Public police reporting systems indicate officers were first called to the 4200 block of Brookville Road around 9 p.m. to investigate a serious bodily injury crash. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers at the scene of the crash told FOX59 and CBS4 a juvenile female was struck by a vehicle.
Police reported that the juvenile sustained multiple fractures in the crash. Per law enforcement, the driver that struck the girl fled the scene after hitting her.
IMPD has reported that the fleeing suspect was ultimately apprehended. The suspect was subjected to medical testing because police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Authorities arrested 33-year-old Monty Mulroney on charges of OWI and leaving the scene of a crash causing serious injury.
The incident remains under investigation.
