LOGANSPORT, Ind. -- A Logansport man accused of assaulting two women at Huston Park earlier this week was arrested in southern Ohio after evading authorities for the last two days.
The Logansport Police Department confirmed that 25-year-old Deonizio Teo Pascal was arrested Friday in Cincinnati, Ohio for his alleged role in the attempted rape and assault of two women at the public park on Wednesday, July 17.
An investigation was launched when LPD officers were notified of two separate incidents of attempted rape that allegedly occurred at the trails around 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Wednesday. The victims were walking alone when the assaults reportedly took place, LPD said.
LPD thanked the Cincinnati Police Department for their efforts after they successfully apprehended Pascal without further incident.
According to online court records, Pascal has been preliminarily charged with two counts of rape when compelled by force or imminent threat of force (Attempt to Commit), with each being a level 3 felony.
No hearing date has been set for Pascal in Cass County.
