INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Fever Guard Caitlin Clark will have her image depicted on a NASCAR hood at the Brickyard 400 on Sunday. But once the race is over, the hood will head to auction to benefit a good cause.
This weekend, Josh Berry is racing the No. 4 Ford Mustang. On its hood is the young basketball superstar, taking a jump shot, hoping to make the Hoosier state proud.
In August, that hood will be on display at a softball tournament dedicated to the late Matthew Alexander. Alexander was a 32-year-old Avon man and victim of the Indianapolis FedEx mass shooting on April 15, 2021.
Following the tournament, buyers can bid on the hood, with proceeds benefitting the Matthew Alexander Memorial Fund.
