MUNCIE, Ind. — A Muncie man was convicted of a murder stemming from 2022 that left a teen with seven gunshot wounds outside of a bar near Ball State's campus.
Malek Williams, 23, was convicted of Murder, a Felony, after the jury deliberated for three hours.
"I am glad the jury saw through the Defendant's ridiculous claim of self-defense. You do not get to chase a person down, repeatedly shoot them in the back and then claim self-defense," said Attorney Eric Hoffman

Que'Aundre Johnson, of Marion, was killed at 19-years-old on West University Avenue and Dill Street in Muncie.
Sentencing is set for Aug. 29, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. Murder is punishable by 45-65 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
