INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis police are investigating a crash that left a motorcyclist dead Thursday night on Indy’s northeast side.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called around 8:49 p.m. to the intersection near E. 79th Street and Fall Creek Road in response to reports of a personal injury crash occurring in the area.
Officers arrived and determined that a vehicle and a motorcyclist had collided. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services, IMPD said.
IMPD confirmed the driver has remained on the scene and is assisting officers as they investigate the circumstances of the fatal crash.
