KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - A man is accused of recording a woman in the restroom of his southwest Indiana office earlier this year, according to Indiana State Police.

Dustin McCandless, 50, faces a Level 6 felony charge of voyeurism.

The initial investigation in February revealed McCandless allegedly used a hidden camera to record a woman using the restroom at Patriot Safety and Rescue, an agency on Duke Energy's property in Edwardsport.

Police discovered McCandless is the co-owner of Patriot Safety and Rescue. ISP and Knox County High Tech Crime Unit served a search warrant on March 6, taking "numerous electronic items" from the agency.

The Knox County Prosecutor's Office then filed the charges against McCandless and an arrest warrant was issued. ISP said McCandless was arrested around 11 a.m. Monday after turning himself in at the county jail.

McCandless was released after posting bond, ISP said.

The release noted that while McCandless is a contractor working at Duke Energy, he's not an employee of the company.
