MARION, Ind. — A 28-year-old man from Marion is facing multiple felonies after police said he broke into a business, stole a truck and fought with officers while suffering from an alleged "psychotic breakdown."
Bradley J. Clay was charged on Monday with two counts of burglary, one a Level 4 felony and the other a Level 5 felony. He also faces charges of auto theft and resisting arrest, both Level 6 felonies.
According to the Marion Police Department, officers were called out to Junk Monkey's on Monday at roughly 9:30 p.m. on report of a burglary. Police said officers arrived and were told that Clay broke a window and stole one of the company's trucks.
Witnesses familiar with Clay told police that the 28-year-old was "going through a psychotic breakdown."
Police officers tracked Clay down to W. 8th Street where he reportedly began to fight with officers. Police ultimately used a Taser to stun Clay and take him into custody.
According to Marion police, no officers were seriously injured and suffered only minor cuts to their hands.
