MARTINSVILLE, Ind. — Behind a patriotic icon, a Martinsville man is accused of hiding a dark secret: images of child sexual abuse including some photographs he allegedly took himself.

Adam R. Anderson, 42, is charged with multiple felony counts of possession of child pornography. Recent court documents reveal that Anderson, the owner of Anderson Video Security and Alarm LLC, is also under investigation for allegedly spying on his clients without their knowledge.

Recently unsealed court documents detail the investigation that led to Anderson's arrest on child pornography charges. These documents reveal not only a disturbing discovery but a dark secret kept right under his family's nose: hidden behind a patriotic icon on his computer.

Indiana State Police investigators ended up being led to Anderson after cyber tip submitted by Bing indicated that possible child porn had been uploaded from an Indiana address.

Investigators eventually traced the upload to Anderson's home on Parkside Drive in Martinsville.

Police spoke to Anderson and his family about their internet usage, documents reveal. Anderson told police that on his computer is an American flag icon. When clicked, this icon opens up the Anderson family's internet — re-directing the user to former president Donald Trump's website as a landing page.

But despite this patriotic guise and Anderson claiming to have no interest in pornography showcasing younger women, state police investigators reported finding multiple images of child pornography on Anderson's phone.

Police acquired warrants to search his phone. Anderson originally cooperated with police, denying viewing child pornography, but once police asked to look at his phone his cooperation ended.

After searching Anderson's phone, state police investigators determined that five of the photographs found on Anderson's phone weren't only images of child pornography but were images that originated on Anderson's phone — meaning they were photographs taken by Anderson himself.

Inside Anderson's home police also uncovered multiple firearms and tactical equipment.

In a document filed by prosecutors requesting Anderson remain on remote tracking while out on bond from jail, it was revealed that further investigation into Anderson also uncovered accusations and/or evidence of the man spying on clients without their knowledge through work done by his security camera installation business.

At this time, no charges have been filed in relation to that investigation.

A booking photo of Adam Anderson has not been made available by Morgan County Sheriff's Department.
