MUNCIE, Ind. — A Muncie woman is accused of using a set of keys in an attack on both an adult and a child, according to court documents.
Ashley N. Johnson, 35, was arrested on preliminary charges of domestic battery in the presence of children and battery on a person under 14 years of age, both Level 6 felonies.
According to court documents, Muncie police officers were called to Casita Gardens mobile home park located off Kilgore Avenue late Saturday night.
When officers arrived, a man told police that his girlfriend, Johnson, stabbed him just over his right eye with what may have been a set of keys.
According to witnesses, Johnson had reportedly been drinking and being aggressive prior to the stabbing. She's accused of striking a 13-year-old boy in the head prompting her boyfriend to intervene. Johnson then allegedly struck him above his eye before fleeing the scene prior to police arriving.
Police said the victim was bleeding from his right eyebrow when officers arrived at the mobile home, but he refused to be taken to a hospital.
Several hours after the incident, police returned to the mobile home after Johnson reportedly returned and threw a set of keys into a child's face.
This time, Johnson was still on scene when police arrived and she was taken into custody.
Final charges will be determined by the Delaware County Prosecutor's Office.
