INDIANAPOLIS – A person was taken to an area hospital after an overnight shooting on the near north side.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of N. College Ave. around 12:50 a.m. Tuesday where they found a man had been shot.
The victim was awake and breathing, police said, and was transported to a hospital. Police didn’t disclose the extent of the man’s injuries.
Video from the scene showed officers focusing on a parking lot of a liquor store. Investigators also looked through a car parked in the lot.
The shooting remains under investigation.
