Update: As of 3:44 p.m., I-70 westbound near Spiceland has now reopened.
SPICELAND, Ind. -- A crash on I-70 westbound is expected to impact drivers for the next few hours.
According to the Pendleton district of the Indiana State Police, I-70 westbound is currently closed at the 120 mile marker in relation to a crash involving injury. Officials with the Indiana Department of Transportation said the crash involves a semi-trailer.
INDOT said that traffic is currently impacted between IN 3 (Spiceland) and Greensboro Pike (two miles west of the Spiceland area.) As of 1:43 p.m., officials said all lanes are blocked and will be for the next couple of hours.
Indiana State Police said that I-70 is expected to be shut down while crews remove vehicles and debris. Interstate traffic is being diverted onto State Road 3, the 123 exit.
"Please seek alternate routes of travel and avoid the area," officials with the Indiana State Police said.
