MADISON COUNTY, Ind. – Deputies arrested an Anderson man on a murder charge in connection with the death of his wife.
Around 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, Madison County sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle at Forrestville Cemetery, 3700 block of west 1650N (Summitville).
A 911 caller reported seeing a dark-colored SUV parked near the back of the cemetery; two people were inside and were unresponsive when the caller knocked on the window.

Deputies arrived a few minutes later and found 47-year-old Michela D. Hinson dead in the driver’s seat. Her husband, 47-year-old Jeremy J. Hinson, was in the passenger seat.
Investigators said it “was apparent” Michela Hinson had suffered “multiple gunshot wounds.” They recovered a firearm from the crime scene.
Jeremy Hinson was booked into the Madison County Jail on a preliminary murder charge. Investigators requested a 72-hold as detectives work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday, the sheriff’s office said.
