INDIANAPOLIS -- Three women were arrested after a seven-year-old Indianapolis child was kidnapped and later found safe in north Texas.

According to a news release from the Indiana State Police, detectives with the Indiana State Police were contacted about an alleged child abduction at around 7 p.m. Monday. Officials said the child's father provided leads that led detectives to the seven-year-old's biological mother.

The mother, identified by Indiana State Police as 43-year-old Brandy Clark, was located in Fort Worth, Texas. The release said that Clark did not have legal custody of the child. ISP worked with officers in Fort Worth who located the child and arrested Clark.

During the investigation, ISP detectives learned that Clark, as well as two other family members, identified as 26-year-old Sydney Rochez and 25-year-old Symone Bailey, helped "plan and conduct the abduction." The release alleges that Rochez and Bailey convinced the father of the seven-year-old that they would take the child to an amusement park in southern Indiana.

The release said the child was picked up from the father's Indianapolis home on June 19 and was supposed to visit the amusement park the next day. In reality, Rochez and Bailey took the child to Missouri, eventually boarding a plane with Clark to Fort Worth.

When the father contacted Rochez and Bailey, they reportedly told him that while at the park, Clark arrived and took the child from them. Detectives allege that the three also developed a false social media post about being at the park and the child's disappearance.

The release said that Clark was arrested in Texas on kidnapping charges. Both Rochez and Bailey were arrested by Indiana State Troopers and face preliminary kidnapping charges.
