INDIANAPOLIS — A Powerball Double Play ticket worth $50,000 was purchased at a smoke shop in Indiana last week.
According to a press release, the winning ticket was sold at the Smoker Friendly store located at 241 W. Main St. in Hanover ahead of Saturday night's drawing. Saturday's winning Powerball Double Play numbers were 6-23-48-49-54 with a Powerball of 14.
Powerball players can check their tickets with the free Hoosier Lottery Mobile App. Lottery officials encourage all Powerball winners to consider meeting with financial advisors, ensure their tickets are in safe places and call Hoosier Lottery Customer Service a 1-800-955-6886.
The Powerball jackpot is expected to reach $84 million by Monday. Powerball and Powerball Double Play overall odds are both one in 25.
Indiana was home to the first Powerball jackpot winner in 1992. The Hoosier State leads the nation in Powerball jackpot wins with 39, per the Hoosier Lottery.
